Birth Doula Support

Congratulations on Your Pregnancy!

Thank you so much for reaching out. What an exciting season of life! I would be honored to learn more about your pregnancy and see whether I may be the right person to support you throughout your birth journey.

I am currently offering my birth doula services free of charge to the first three qualifying moms while I complete additional certification requirements through DONA International, a nationally recognized doula organization.

My goal as your birth doula is to provide compassionate emotional, physical, and informational support so you feel informed, prepared, encouraged, and confident every step of the way.

What Working With Me Looks Like

Prenatal Visit One

Around 28–32 weeks

During our first prenatal visit, we will:

  • Get to know one another
  • Review and sign the client confidentiality release form
  • Discuss your birth goals, preferences, and concerns
  • Review the stages of labor
  • Practice breathing techniques, labor positions, and comfort measures
  • Discuss how your partner or support person can be involved

Prenatal Visit Two

Around 36–37 weeks

During our second prenatal visit, we will:

  • Review your birth preferences
  • Discuss the signs of labor and when to contact me
  • Practice additional comfort techniques and partner support
  • Review what to expect during labor and birth
  • Answer any last-minute questions

Labor and Birth Support

Once labor begins, I will be available to support you by phone. When you are ready for in-person support, I will join you and remain with you throughout labor and birth.

Support may include:

  • Encouragement and reassurance
  • Breathing and relaxation guidance
  • Position changes and movement
  • Massage and counterpressure
  • Comfort measures
  • Informational support
  • Guidance for your partner or support person

I will remain with you through the birth and stay for a short time afterward while you begin bonding with your baby.

Postpartum Visit

Approximately 1–2 weeks after birth

During our postpartum visit, we will:

  • Check in on your recovery and well-being
  • Talk through your birth experience
  • Answer questions
  • Discuss how you are adjusting to life with your newborn
  • Connect you with additional support or resources when needed

DONA Certification Requirements

As part of completing my DONA certification requirements, I will document general information about your labor and birth. This may include the length of labor, type and time of birth, and any procedures performed.

Your personal information and birth details will be kept private and confidential.

I will also need:

  • A signed client confidentiality release form
  • A brief evaluation from you after the birth
  • A brief evaluation from your partner or another support person who attended the birth

After you submit the intake form, we can schedule a phone consultation to get to know one another, discuss your hopes for your birth, and determine whether we are a good fit.
